Tour with driver > Douro Valley Route

The Douro Valley could also be called the charming valley, because of the beauty its landscapes can offer. We can appreciate this Cultural Landscape, classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in many ways, as well as discover some of the best Romanesque monuments in the north part of Portugal.

On this tour we will stop at a wine property with vines stretching on schist terraces, offering breathtaking views over Douro River. A Visit to RÉGUA, the capital of Porto Wine, with its Douro Museum, as well as PINHÃO, a charming village on the right bank of the river with the magnificent iron Bridge designed by Eiffel. A cruise in a “Rabelo” boat (boats used to take Port Wine along the river), that offers a unique panorama of vineyards, a train ride, and stops at viewpoints with the river in the background, will definitely make you want to come back.

It’s also possible a visit to The Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley, an extraordinary rock art complex, being a unique place in the world due to the rock art of different periods of Prehistory, Protohistoric and History, including the most important collection of Paleolithic outdoor figurations known today. According where the tour ends, a crossing of Marão, Portugal 2nd highest mountain, and a stop at the city of AMARANTE, located at the banks of Tamega River, worth to be made.
